An all-star cast featuring David Sanborn on alto sax, Eric Gale on guitar, Ralph MacDonald on percussion, Randy Brecker in the brass section, Michael Brecker on woodwinds and a horde of others make for a real slick number that lives up to its name.
I've seen different versions of this surfacing on YouTube, but not the real deal. Well, here it is, folks! First heard this when I was 7 and it started my fascination of David Sanborn.
This is the opening track from his third album, aptly titled Three. Smooth and funky, just a baaaad jam! Featuring Ralph McDonald and my man, Grover Washington Jr. Enjoy!
Fellas, if you're one that has a bit of trouble with the ladies, might I suggest putting this song on, or e-mailing this video to her. After all, who can argue with Lou Rawls?!?
Masterfully produced by Gamble & Huff.
Don't let the title fool you- this is one BAAAD jam! The drum breakdown at 7:27 has to be one of the greatest breakdowns in history. Listen and you'll see what I mean.
Now everyone and their mothers has posted the original on here, but I'm willing to bet that only a fourth of 'em have heard this version that came out in late-2002. After hearing this version I just can't go back to the original.
