Demonstrating:
1. fingerpicking double stops,
2. bending one note in place of the double stops,
3. and finally, volume swells.
All are used to develop a country-bluesish steel guitar sound and also to mimic the timbre of a bowed instrument such as a violin when it plays chords.
The Swells (Chris, Warren and Scott)played a few live songs on WRFL during Nick Kidd's Nov. 15, 2008 show. The show was spotlighting the Tsuga Art & Music event that The Swells were playing the following weekend.

October 2004 after a 4 month B season of processing Pollock. Returning to Seattle form The Bering Sea and Dutch Harbor. Passed through a storm with 65 foot swells and 100 +Knot winds. This ship is 680 feet long. The bridge is about 2/3 of the way from the Bow.
