President Bush handed out the National Medals of the Arts and Humanities at the White House on Monday. The annual awards recognize outstanding contributions to art, music, theater, writing and history. VOA's Deborah Block has more.
The School of Humanities at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg hosts an annual Arts and Literature Experience where the talents of staff students and alumni are showcased. This is a video project I did for a Humanities class in college. The teacher suggested to bring candy during presentations, so I made a model of Stonehenge out Starburst and then made a video with plastic firemen and stacks of Starburst about how Stonehenge was likely built.
