Back country Brisbane track amongst some trees is good for the odd moto. Its sand based and gets flippin rough. The night before it rained its bean off so hence the massive puddles everywhere and made it a little hard going on the 09' YZ250F. The video is pieces of VholdR footage and my mates digi SLR on video mode with some editing and music from Kings of Leon thrown in for good measure.
A line of storms over 500km's long extended from down near Coffs Harbour in NSW all the way up into central Queensland today. The was the view from Beaudesert with a HUGE gust front containing almost continuous lightning!
This line of storms produced winds over 100km/h in some areas and caused over 70,000 people to lose power.

A very hot and humid day coupled with an approaching "triple point" type setup produced some of the most violent thunderstorms the Brisbane and South East QLD area has seen in nearly 10 years.
A tornado was reported from the Womblepong area near Canungra and Tamborine areas which was more than likely associated with this particular storm.
