The USAF F-15 Eagle is put through its paces at the AirPower Over Hampton Roads airshow earlier this year. The demonstration is being flown by Major Jason "Bondo" Costello.
This is one of the last years to see the original Stealth Fighter, the F-117A in action. Its due to retire sometime in 2008. If you can't see one at an airshow near you, this video will show you the precision that the crews use in order to maintain and operate one of the most lethal aircraft in the world.
This BO-105 helicopter piloted by Charles Aaron performs maneuvers impossible by any other aircraft (except maybe the F-22). Aaron is one of only 4 helicopter specific aerobatic pilots in the United States. Watch as this machine does backflips, half cuban 8s, rolls and pedal turns.
Commercial airliners from all over the world fly into John F. Kennedy International Airport everyday. It is pretty remarkable to consider how far each jet has traveled. Some were non-stop from places like London, Singapore and Tahiti. These aircraft are landing on runway 31R.
First listen to SSgt Victoria Staley of the 732nd AS explains the general mission of the C-17 and then watch a demonstration of the short field and slow speed handling of the jet. By the way, check out the crew member taking a picture of the crowd at the 4:00 mark.
Tom Meents driving the Maximum Destruction monster truck puts on an awesome display of power and control. We think he has the best donuts in the business, but we'll let you be the judge. Enjoy.

The Friday performance of the F/A-18F at AirFest 2006. Flown by Lt Blaine "Rock" Tompkins and Lt Matt "Sicko" Bernhard from VFA-106, the jet demonstrated its ability to point its nose with authority even at very low airspeeds. It also showed its high speed dash capability and turn radius. This video not only shows the jet in flight, but on the ground recieving final checks from its plane captains.
Seen here at New Castle, Matt Chapman is one of the best aerobatic pilots in the world. His CAP 580 aircraft is one of less than 10 flying today. From snap rolls to tumbles to hammerheads, his flying is pure precision and power.
The ONLY Mig-23 Flogger flying in the United States is based out of New Castle, DE. It made an appearance at the DEANG 60th anniversary airshow held at the airport. The pilot was limited to passes at 900 feet or above due to FAA regulations, but just seeing and hearing one made it worthwhile. This clip shows the takeoff and shutting down.
Steve Holzinger (airshowfansh) was going for a ride with Maj. Jim "Penny" Varden. Jim flies a Pitts biplane in airshows when not busy with his Air Force duties. Here we see Steve getting 'chuted up, taking off and coming back. Later we watch Jim's hangarmate fly his R44 helicopter as a photo platform for Steve while Jim does a low flyby.
From the NAS Oceana airshow 2006, this is the Friday evening performance of the F-15C with Major Jason "Bondo" Costello at the controls. He is joined by retired Navy captain Dale "Snort" Snodgrass in the F-86 Sabre. In part 2 you can see Patty Wagstaff performing and Snort flying extra low passes.
