Now that YouTube accepts HD, one or two of these vids have been converted to 1280x720p and uploaded again. This one was originally uploaded in PAL format 6 months ago and in this version, the tune has been changed and a couple of sections taken out.
Although we now have a board full of rosettes, it hasn't all been plain sailing. This set of videos from last year's Constable Country events shows the times that our horses hadn't read the script........
Cross country practice with some good quality fall action. The audience were there to enjoy the sight of Jess and Lauren successfully falling on their heads after getting Magic the Pony over the smallest fence on the course. A great day for participants and audience. Lots of laughs. lol :)
This video shows this pair in the 2' class, jump off and pairs-relay with John and Creamy. This was Anka's best jumping performance yet and earned her and Marina a 5th place in the class. Well done.
A great performance by a mare that had not been worked for two months. (Well done, Stacey!) Don't forget to choose the 'view in high quality' option for best video.
This is John's new horse Zara, now known as 'Girlie 2'. Girlie 1 is his Palomino named Creamy. This was John's first ride on Zara since he bought her and although he admits that it was far from perfect, it was a promising start. Zara is a 7-year old, 15.1HH Arab x Connemara mare and we look forward to many years with her.
Last show of the season and Charlie is back after 3 months of injury. This video also features some experimental 'picture-in-picture' footage with the standard camera view accompanied by PiP video from the rider's perspective (John & Creamy). Rachel and Sapphy were also involved for the first time since June. All three riders had successful clear rounds in the minimus warm-up round.
Filmed at Wix on 12/04/08, this video shows Creamy and Charlie competing with their respective riders, John & Christine. A great performance by Charlie in his first ever competition. Not bad for an 11 year old former racehorse with no experience of eventing. Big thanks to Kerrie for the video work.
We almost lost this little pony recently. Thankfully, things turned out ok and here she is enjoying herself at Constable. She was given four apples as a treat when we were done. We also discovered this week that she is a pure-bred Welsh 'Section B' and 21 years old.
Mother and daughter riding their respective ponies, Sapphire and Nutmeg. Lilianna looked like she was having a really great time and Rachel secured 4th place in the 2 foot class. A really good day. :)
